Marion on Break

Marion Gross was the stallion manager at Gainesway Farm for 41 years.  Beloved by all that ever met him and considered a top horseman, his smile in this photo makes him another fan favorite from the exhibit.  Pictured here on break at a Gainesway party during September Sales, smoking his cigar and probably smiling at Tony's camera because for once he didn't have to hold a horse forever while Tony perfected the shot.  You'll also find him further along in the Exhibition series walking with the equally beloved Blushing Groom.
